Avalun choose MicroEJ to power its LapPad, a connected Handy Lab designed to address the needs for multi-parametric near-patient testing.
Thanks to MicroEJ low-power virtual platform, Avalun was able to reduce its Bill of Materials by using less powerful electronics (therefore, less expensive processors), without sacrificing performance or software features. Another great benefit brought by virtualization is separation of concern: software can be developed independently from the hardware, which enables project stakeholders to start prototype the GUI before making decisions and engaging with development expenses.
